Hm

It has been a crazy week, but all is well.

If you are looking for a good survey site that is legit try my soapbox. I have been paid a couple times and could be more if I spent more time doing surveys.

Oy

Let's see if the app posts without error.

Been busy working, and carving on the side.  :-)

It's that time of year. Carved anything lately?

This post is a review. I recently got a new Bluetooth speaker. Specifically this one:

CakFun Portable Bluetooth Speaker 4.0 Outdoor Waterproof Wireless Dual Speakers System for iPhones with Bass Subwoofer, Fm Radio, Microphone - Army Green

This is a pretty cool Bluetooth speaker. It's bigger than the oontz one I had before getting this. It's not huge though. The olive green color and kinda rugged look is appealing visually. It has a carrying strap on the side which is a convenient way to carry it. I haven't tested the waterproof claim, but I appreciate that it should be. Using outside walking, hiking, or doing whatever it seems able to hold up well. It sounds really good when streaming  music to it from Spotify. Nice depth to the music. The battery life is a big plus! 8-10 hours of play is great.

This also has NFC, which is nice. It has a radio transmitter so you can listen to the local fm stations wherever you are. This is especially great if you want some tunes without needing to stream from your phone or tablet.

The only dislike I have is the voice when going to pair it. Which it easily does with both tablet and phone. The voice is both way loud and unpleasant. I would like to be able to turn it down at least and cannot see a way to do so.

This is a competitively priced speaker and good value for the price. Would recommend it if you are in the market for one.

Artsy coffee

A lovely way to start the day. Artsy organic micro roasted coffee! Along with a garlic bagel with cream cheese. Yum!

Another rainy day

Well, sort of. It's cold, overcast and raining lightly here and there.

Fall seems to have arrived indeed.

Time to consider electric blankets, and running stoves or heaters. Ah, that scent on the crisp air outside of a fireplace burning is lovely. Would you agree?

Mmm

Season change

This weekend has brought some rain and cool temps. 50s! It's amazing to think it is October already. Time flies for sure. All the more reason to be busy making gifts for Christmas since it is rapidly approaching.

But it is also pumpkin time! I sold one of the carves this past week on etsy. I am hoping for many more as well. I am going to carve another this coming week. Well, 2 probably since I also need something that conforms to a lot of the pumpkin carving contest rules. Which rules out recognized characters, etc.

Been a busy week

You know, when the app isn't behaving it's very frustrating. Working, crafting, and keeping busy as usual. Earlier in the week, I made a banana cake and also banana bread. The bread was a recipe I've been making for decades. However, it was a first for this kind of cake. It has a cream cheese based frosting. It came out good in both taste and appearance.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Relax, enjoy time with family and friends.

Sticky

Petunias are seriously sticky! Once again, I doned some vinyl gloves and picked off the dead blooms an a few branches from the hanging flower baskets. Time consuming. However, last time I did that a couple weeks ago within a couple days it started getting bunches of blooms. The greenery of the baskets is doing fabulous. We bought these for mother's day even though mama passed before then. She very much enjoyed the baskets we bought each year that hang within view of the living room windows. If you have petunias or get any know that they are sticky enough that dead blooms can't all just shed/drop off on their own. Remove them and you will get lots more blooms. :-)

Variegated yarn

I seem to be having issues publishing from my app. Hm. Anyway.....

This yarn still hasn't repeated the exact same color and I'm on the 2nd scarf. A sample pic. Very lovely yarn.

Knitting away.... Christmas is coming.

Soooo sleepy

It's time to get ready for bed. I finished the scarf. I will try blocking it since it rolls/curls more than I'd like. I also started another. This one I will make using a different stitch.

More tomorrow.... Sweetest of dreams to you.

More Knit...

Finished a second hat and am working a keyhole scarf. :-)  Yes, really, the crafting doesn't end.  Lol.

Also, working a pumpkin here and there. I found and bought a couple more today.

Gnight to you.

A good day

Hat

Nice colors and lovely yarn that I like to use. It cost more, but it's worth it. Doing fine gauge takes a lot of time though. One of the many projects going right now. After all, lots to get made for Christmas gifts. And then, there is also what I make and sell either through etsy or in person.

Yeah, I am always making something. I even have a carve (funkin) going.

Mmm...

Ice cream! We took advantage of the $1.31 scoop deal at Baskin Robbins on the way back from church. Tasty.

I made a little progress on the fine gauge bobble hat. I would say it's about 1/2 way to complete.

Long day, and somewhat sore muscles and it's almost time to get ready for bed. Gnight

Froggie

I came across this cutie in a hanging flower basket. The flowers we bought in honor of mama and hung up for mother's day as we have for years. Last week, one of the two looking like a lot of flowers died. I used gloves, gosh they are sticky flowers, and got the majority of the dead blooms off. The last couple of days, many new blooms have appeared. So, I took a picture this evening and then was looking up close to see if more new blossoms were forming and thought 'my that one's big!' then realized I was seeing something else. The frog! He maybe has made a home there. How cool. I love frogs.

With that I bid you g'night. The alarm will go off sooner than I would like to get up and ready for work.

Random thoughts

Hello!

Welcome. I am trying my hand at blogging again. Admittedly, it's quite easy to get busy making things, working, and just living and forget to check in. The past year has been a crazy ride. I think I will have good use of using this outlet to share with you you. Please check in often and see what's new.

Thanks!
